Will NYC basses have the Warwick strap locks, white letter branded pickups, Warwick tuners, and Warwick's Sadowsky logo placement on the headstock?
i'm confused as to why you're asking if there's going to be warwick's involvement and change when roger just got done saying the NYCs will "remain the same".
Comparing the Hipshot tuners on my USA to my Warwick Sadowsky PJ, the new Warwick Sadowsky tuners look better....they don't have that plastic look on the back. Haven't noticed any difference in their operation yet, both good

Just a question. The words "remain the same" could mean that the custom shop might adopt some new parts yet continue to be made with the highest quality and attention to detail that you can get. Obviously, things change and that's not a bad thing - especially when Roger is at the helm.
Personally, I'm hoping that some cosmetic aspects stay the same because I really like them. I asked primarily because have a UV60 on order (modeled after the one below) and I imagine it hanging next to my P-soap (also pictured below). I'm getting it with the new stacked J pickups and a coil tap switch. I love the sound of single coils, but sometimes on stage you want the hum cancelling and extra oomph you get with those humcancelling J pickups. Can't wait for that.
As a longtime fan of Sadowsky everything, I think this Warwick partnership is looking great. Yet, like others I've noticed some cosmetic changes with early models and while they may be improvements I wanted to ask if "remains the same" means the NYC models would continue using Hipshot, Duncan, etc. Regardless, I suspect Roger will continue to improve Sadowsky instruments as he's done for 40 years with working musicians, and continue tempting us with beautiful basses and guitars.

Continuous improvement always, but I do not anticipate any changes.

When you first announced this partnership with Warwick, my first thought was "oh man, maybe they'll do a Sklar Bass Frankenstein."
I made Lee a 4 string P bass back in the 90's. He told me it was probably the best bass he ever played, but he would never play any other 4 string than "Frankenstein". I love Lee!

I got 2 shows this Saturday and did a little tweaking tonight on my new NYC PJ4. This bass plays like butter and I really like the PJ tone. I can’t wait to use it live for the first time! Of course the Satin Inca Silver looks amazing too! Love this bass!

Fortunately for you you’ve got gigs again so you can work your rotation because otherwise I don’t know how you choose which of yours to use, you’ve got some nice ones....
I thought I’d share a fun story from the other night, so since I got my sage green Sadowsky I’ve mainly been using it for the last 6 months on this funky jazzy album I’ve been working on virtually with the great Bill Ware (Steely Dan, The Puppeteers etc), I started the project with a different jazz bass I have that has an on board Sadowsky preamp and was happy with my sound. When I got the sage green I started using that and YES there is a difference that maybe an average listener would not hear but it’s definitely more vibrant and has more harmonic content is the best way I can describe. Very close to finishing and hope to share a bit with you guys when done.
ANYWAY, so the other night was the first in a while that I had a session at of all places at Danzig’s bassist Steve Zing’s place) for a rock thing for a guy that I played on his album like 25 years ago. I brought the sage green as well as my 72 P bass just in case as it is a rock thing, but my Sadowsky was my first choice, just because our jobs are not just to play bass but enlighten people ...Needless to say the P bass never got plugged in and only came out of the case because somebody wanted to see it. Put my Sadowsky directly into the big red box and he brought it up on the monitors and literally everybody looked at each other and said sounds great let’s roll. All I did for a little extra oomph was just slightly move the balance to the neck pickup whereas for the jazz album I went very slightly in the other direction. This post got too long but the moral of the story is one we all know, these basses can do anything. The track absolutely rocks and the bass has attitude and presence and when they played back loud through the monitors had such a solid balanced sound through the entire register. I said to Steve who was engineering “man love the sound you got ,what compressor and EQ are you running that through?”, and he looked at me and said dude that is just your bass and your fingers.
When I get a finished version I’ll try and share...

This is where the discriminating wood selection, meticulous neck fitment, and all the other little (but big) things Roger's shop does that other brands/builders may not, that creates this result, and why they're worth the money.
I get this ALL the time. I call it the "Production Fonz moment". The production dude reaches towards the sliders, and just throws his hands up. Nothing to be done. It's perfect as is.
