"Some of you may have noticed the different logo on the headstock. Please permit me to explain… About 15 years ago, when I went to trademark Sadowsky in China, I discovered that a pirate had trademarked Sadowsky before I could. I have been fighting for the return of my trademark for the last five years. We won the previous round on the basis that he has never used the trademark. However, on the last possible day, he appealed the decision, and until the appeal is heard, he still owns the mark. As a result, I have trademarked RSD (Roger Sadowsky Design) and will use that in conjunction with the MetroExpress until the issue is resolved, which I am confident it will be."

Thank you for your kind reply, but my questions were related to Metro basses made in Germany.

Removed the Tort PG and really digging the vibe....just trying to decide on which replacement pickguard, black or aged white pearloid? If anyone is selling an PG that fit a MetroExpress hit me up!

Have you thought about bedazzling the exposed holes? I think it looks sharp, without the pg.

A little story (I think some of you have experienced it, for me, it was first):
few days ago at a soundcheck, and the drum is finished, "let's see the bass!"
I began to play some notes, and noticed that the engineer came down from the mixer and started to the stage... didn't know what was the problem...
and as he approched me he was gazing at headstock, and eyes opened wide: " Auuuuh holy poopie, dont' you say that!! Really??? You bast... ! " or something like this..
Then he returned to the mixer, and he sighed, and said: "well, nothing to do with that, leaving everything untouched..."

I’m not crying ... I just realized I can’t put tort on my upright bass.

Stripped Mr Lee for a Tort replacement this weekend but the factory replacement didn't fit. Maybe I'll file it when there's time.

The white might look good. Still waiting to hear back from the Pickguard place about my black pearloid....I'll let you know man thanks!

I like the pickguard off look. Here is my MV5, shortly before I sent it off for refinishing (though it doesn’t show in the picture, the body is pretty beat up, especially the back).

Out of our second lockdown here in Auckland and straight back into gigs. An audience member recorded me doing the little Bass break in You Can Call Me Al. That Sadowsky tone shining through!

Fill/cover the holes with precious metals, semi faux jewelry, small stuffed animals, or use the original pickguard screws.

The possibilities are endless.

The modern seems to be inching away from the others if it gets further and goes up for sale let me know
