I have instructed them to remove the white logo on the pickups and to use my original logos, except on the MetroExpress.
This is a work in progress, hampered by my ability to travel to Germany. I am working closely with Warwick to make the new production lines as close to my NYC instruments as possible, plus some improvements that require investment capital that I could never do on my own. Good things are coming.
In addition, I will continue to personally set up all of the new MetroLine basses that we will be selling direct.

A little story (I think some of you have experienced it, for me, it was first):
few days ago at a soundcheck, and the drum is finished, "let's see the bass!"
I began to play some notes, and noticed that the engineer came down from the mixer and started to the stage... didn't know what was the problem...
and as he approched me he was gazing at headstock, and eyes opened wide: " Auuuuh holy poopie, dont' you say that!! Really??? You bast... ! " or something like this..
Then he returned to the mixer, and he sighed, and said: "well, nothing to do with that, leaving everything untouched..."
Love these stories!
I actually kind of liked the white logo on the pickups on the handful of those German made ones.
Anyway, it has been 2 months now since I received my first Sadowsky, a satin series 5-24 Modern. A huge shout out to @deepestend in helping me pick it out, and @Robert Darby who kept nudging me! I'd been trolling the Sadowsky website for months looking for the right one. I'd been thinking Vintage months ago, but everything I own (Ric / Fender) is "vintage" in tone and so started thinking modern. Also love the texture of the satin finish. It is exactly what I should have expected, but for some reason did not.
When it arrived, I almost thought I was shipped an empty box it was so light! I knew it was light from the website, but it feels guitar light. Immediately easy to play. Wasn't sure how I'd take to the wider nut, especially since my primary instrument is the (narrower) 5 string Rickenbacker. Really minimal in transition. For a change, I love the modern tone and the extra frets, which I'm not using much yet but hope to grow into.
Really have enjoyed this instrument so far. Until I cut my thumb last week, I played it every day since getting it, which meant the Rics got some days off. I'm not a famous player, I'm not even mediocre and the best "gig" this will likely see is my church. I'm almost sorry for that, but consider myself very fortunate and blessed to have been able to get this bass. We're a bit behind some of the others, but we did one "virtual" song for music ministry and I did choose to record with this rather than my usual. I think it turned out really well and was pleased with the final effort of it.
I also appreciate the little touches! Thank you, @Sadowsky !

If it is not too much trouble, I'de like to ask you about the single coil pickups installed on the MetroExpress basses made in China: are these pickups the same that were available as on option on the previous Metro Line made in Japan (Di Marzio?)?
I don't. I sent in an m4a and mp3 and she mixed it and it was sent out only as an mp3, which wasn't publicly posted anywhere. I'm Catholic, so our songs are traditional-ish hymns occasionally touching on some contemporary, but this one actually did have a gospel feel. Not much of a mix, though, it was myself and a pianist and maybe 6-8 vocalists. Hopefully we get more next month!
All the pickups for the MetroExpress are made at a new facility to match my specifications.
Thank you Roger, I hope you will plan to come in Rome again, as soon as the pandemic will end.
I don't see many NYC PJs, especially in vintage tint finish. I LOVE mine.

Great bass and glad you like it! I think that the 5-24 is very underrated overall (maybe not on this thread, though). It's a real swiss army knife of a bass.

Will the German Metros and Master Built basses be made with the same pickups as the NYCs?

This is a December 19 Deluxe Satin Sadowsky. So does that mean this is a NYC bass built by Roger hisself? Really like the inlays on this bass.
