Club Sadowsky!!!

Can you show us the back of the neck at the body link? I saw some photos on reverb of these new Metroexpresses and looks a little bit funny/weird to me. Not looks like asthe former series .

@basmansam, do you what strings they’re equipped with? They don’t look like Sadowsky.
The strings are Chinese, I put a set of DR Pure Blues 40-120. What a difference, really opened up the bass.
I'm very happy with the bass.
Thanks! Yes indeed, it's precise and tight, but the neck looks a little bit rough and flat, how comfortable is that?
I'm very happy with the bass, it's very comfortable to play, definitely not rough, not much different than my Japan Metro express basses.

Do you miss the VTC/traditional Sadowsky preamp?

I’m interested in playing around with other pickups as a test in my Will Lee. I’ve got single coils in there now and am interested in experimenting with other Sadowsky pickups. Can the Will Lee’s accept hum canceling without routing?

You should be able to put stacked coil pickups in there for hum-cancelling without any modifications.

Lots of manufacturers make them as direct drop-ins - I've done it to several basses without need for routing.

If you go for the current stacked coil design you most likely will need to make the existing routes deeper to accommodate the taller stacked coil pickups. The stacks aren't like traditional split coil design which would require no modifications. I think the stacks sound much better that the split design.

Any particular Sadowsky pickups I should try? There are Sadowsky nordstrand and Duncan hum canceling still right?
