Call the shop. Stacked hum cancelling might be too tall for the current routes.

Yep... you can only really do this with a stacked humbucker as that design allows you to choose one full coil. If you've got a split humbucker, it doesn't work to split it because you'd only be choosing one half of the pickup.

I just put a set of Sadowsky Blue Label nickel rounds on my Sadowsky Satin 5-21 for the first time... Very, very nice!! Love the tone and feel, so I went ahead and ordered more sets.

Quick aside, I love that color combination. Is that the stock pickguard? I also have a satin, and may be interested in changing mine out.

As far as I know, I am the ONLY one making a stacked hum-canceling J pickup. All the others are either 2+2 or 3+2. The 2+2 cancel 100% and will drop in as a replacement in any Sadowsky bass. I have gone away from the 3+2 for 5 strings as they only hum-cancel about 75% and are susceptible to noise interference. We now offer the stacks in both a 5 string and 4 string design and they can be wired with a true coil cut switch. However, because they are significantly deeper, they will only fit on recent NYC basses without deepening the routs. All MetroLine, MetroExpress, and older NYC basses need the routs deepened.

We are now offering the stacked design in both 4 string and 5 string so we can include a true coil cut switch.

Thanks! The stock pickguard was white. I also got a tort guard that was beautiful, but a lot darker than I like. So I had John Kallas make a more red, brighter tort guard for me.

Sorry don't get on here as much... I misspoke - when I said "stacked coil" I meant to say "split coil"

But I had no idea you were the only manufacturer of stacked hum cancelling Jazz pickups!

I've had stacked soapbars before and just assumed that other people made stacked Js as well.

the fender American deluxe, elite, ultra, etc jazz pickups are stacked.

Based on serial number my bass was made in late 2017. Is that recent enough to have the deeper routes?
