I just, wow. The bass is amazing. It's been about 10 years since I had and sold a Metro MS5 due to bad timing. Loving this bass.

Drilled the holes and the Dunlop Dual Design straplocks were still the biggest PITA I've ever experienced on the RV5E. I've never had that much issue with installing those.
The screwhead on the dunlops require patience and the perfect bit. I'm not sure what the perfect bit is, and I haven't stripped the screw yet but sometimes it felt like I was going to.
Agreed, you have to use a right screwdriver, bigger handle if possible to do the clean job on Dunlop's, head of their screw is easy to strip, you don't wanna experience this in the middle of the job.![]()
Dunlops need to automatically come with a screw tip designed for their exact screw head...just like deck and drywall screws from Home Depot do. Would eliminate a lot of disappointment...
Great product, funky screw head.

Finally got an NYC: had a Metro 6 years ago when I joined this forum and let someone influence my thoughts, so I stupidly let it go. I finally got another and am happy. Got this NYC from my hometown NYC and it is sweet. Maple top alder body Amazon rosewood fretboard hum canceling pups. Thanks Sam Ash: may the music return to B’way soon!!!

Me three
When you need a 60s looking jazz bass to play John Paul Jones, but you have caviar taste. You do things. Loving my new UV.
