Club Sadowsky!!!

I am just a little concerned with the board melting when applying heat. Did you just apply the iron to the small metal groove and then go for it. I just wish they provided a tab of some sort.
I just applied the heat to the metal “U” and dropped in the solder on the actual metal “U”… i was also worried about melting the board, but it worked out pretty well and the bass sounds amazing!

My new Sadowsky (Ger.) metroline limited edition 2020. Fit and finish amazing! Neck profile is buttery smooth  the weight comes in at a blessing 8.2lbs. This bass certainly feels like an NYC Sadowsky!! :hyper:

Trouble shooting advice needed. Started playing my Metro RV5 PJ and getting a distorted sound. Flipped to passive mode and the distortion was gone, flipped back to active and distortion etc. Simple right.. went to change the battery and it tested fully charged. All wires intact, cavity looks fine. Put battery back in. Plugged it in and sound was clean. Not sure what to make of it. Reseating the battery fixed? Not sure bass has a potential issue. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you.

I'd try another battery - usually using Duracell has never surprised me -.
If the problem occurs again with another one, the preamp could have some issue. I had many times troubles with the moving/not fixed well circuits onboard on other active instruments, but not my Sado so far.
If you tested fully charged, not surely will be full plugged in after longer period. I have a same symptom with my car's key.
My wife couldn't open the car with button, I took out and tested the battery and it was OK. One month later (without using it, it is the second/spare key) the key just didn't work again. Then I throw out that battery and changed for a fresh one. It has to be changed because the factory alarm cannot disengaged without the remote control key...

Thanks. I will , but seem to be narrowing down to possible faulty gain toggle on tt800. Nothing proven yet. More will be revealed.

Roasted Neck or Fingerboard? A Roasted board goes very well with the Whaleburst.
no, standard neck finish, maybe vintage tint, pure black ebony board. debating skyline 12th fret inlay. super p super j 24 fret.

Some “Modern Love” at this morning’s services. First live outing with the 5-24 after putting Blue Label flats on it. Holy Schmoly, what great finger style tone...wish I had done it sooner! I broke in the church’s new bass amp also, it’s a used BA115HP that worked pretty well and enabled me to take back possession of the B100R I was loaning them. All in all, it was a pretty decent Sunday morning.

Interesting, I've been wondering about that. Is that a German Metro? Looks great, @Bergerman !
