I sheepishly admit that I have done this for over 25 years. I played a Spector before my Sadowsky experience and Spectors have the usual balance control.
When I was much younger, I was hesitant to ask Roger to switch the wiring. He means it to be that way and I thought he wouldn't approve. Later on I figured out he's a mensch and isn't "that guy". I had a relative that was a phone technician switch it around. That was literally over a thousand gigs ago.
It's almost inconsequential concern for me because the only pickup balance settings I use are both pickups full on and neck 75% and bridge 25%.
Outside of that , Sadowsky designs are a triumph of efficiency, usability, horse sense, and musical purpose. I'd never change anything else. No need to put moustaches on Mona Lisas.
