Don't do it! I think it is awesome the way it is! Very classy, looks like a ferrari!
Can you even do that on a Standard? I don't think the holes would line up, and you'd have to do something really strange looking.Thanks. I am thinking of putting a tort guard on it?

That said, IMHO, I strongly recommend you leave it as is anyway.![]()
Not to get too far OT, but the one bass I've had the longest is my Martin ABG I bought brand new in the mid 80's.True as I never get attached to anything. Funny thing though my guitars don't go anywhere I have my 2 martins that have been w/ me since the early 90's.

I am not crazy about the red color but traded my fender for it. I am a huge fan of natural/maple and have a nice fiver already. I am trying to trade the red one for a UV70 in ash/maple
HI
Yes. HC pickups are standard on pretty much everything they make. Exceptions are NYC UV's, NYC special orders. Many players swap for true singles, though. You should always ask before you buy used

I'm curious, has anyone here changed the Dunlop strap-locks which are standard on NYCs in favour of another system - or simply used a regular strap end instead of the actual lock (as is possible with the Dunlop system). I know some people have had problems with Dunlops popping off during a gig and wonder if any of you don't use Dunlop strap locks on your Sadowskys out of fear that your beloved with crash to the stage floor during a performance!
HI
Cool, Pok. What pickups are in your bass? Its easy to swap out pickups in a Sadowsky 4. Many brands will fit. Ive had Sadowsky HC's, singles, Nordy NJ4's, etc. I think the 5's are pretty unique routs, though. Id check with the shop if you are planning on swapping sets
