Club Sadowsky!!!

The Nordies NJ5 single coils will fit into a Sadowsky 5 string.
I put a set of them in my MV5.

My new NYC UV ash/maple has the Sadowsky SC and 60's placement. I had the controls changed to vol/blend/vtc/tone stack and the modern knobs put on. Also has a d-tuner. Tried it out on the gig Saturday and it slammed via DB750/AE410 rig. :)

So... I'm usually not a fan of light colored pick guards and I'm going to have a black/white/black one crafted for this bass. I am keeping the parchment one too as it is fitted for this bass and does look very nice. Check out the crappy photoshop picture were I colored in the black just to get an idea.

I don't wanna' ask a dumb question, but what was it before? That's my layout (though mine's just a plain nyc vintage, not an ultra vintage).

Gee, thanks Gang! Acutally thought I'd get the opposite repsonse. I took a little survey from my office mates and the black one won by a small margin. It's a bute. Looks a bit plain in the picture but up close it's gorgeous. The maple board is freckled nicely.

Vic, it was vol/vol/vtc/tone stack
This one is a full size solid ash body and 20 frets.

Very awesome Dean I like the white, although I'd prefer tort. Unfortuntely I really don't like the blend knob I prefer VVT....

I think part of the NYC UV feature set is a more 'vintage' VVT tone control layout with 'vintage' knobs, and a full size body. I believe they also used to have nitro finishes, but that was eliminated if I'm remembering correctly.

So, I think now, the only thing that defines the UV is a different width at the nut, the more standard control layout, and the full size body. Of course, the Metro UV is a different thing.

This is based off memory though, but I think it's right.

Ken,

All of our "J" 4 string Necks are 1.5" at the nut. (Except Will's Signature which is 1.45")

Ultra Vintage models usually are:

-Full Size Bodies
-20 Frets
-9" Radius on Fingerboard
-Vol,Vol,VTC, Stax
