Club Sadowsky!!!

upload_2023-1-1_11-11-28.png

I ll have a Sadowsky on the rocks

6 string basses!

And guitars!

Edit: after listening to the whole thing it felt more like story time with Roger, and little Nicholas was allowed to attend, instead of an interview. In any case the partnership seems to be good for both parties.
I wonder if the new MM/J models were a "dream" of Roger all along and he just didn't have the time for prototyping or rather the creative input of the guys at Warwick?

Nah, leave that to the other builders.
I’m probably not a customer for that one; but, just posting the major (IMO) part I heard in the vid. Agreed, that it is well off the traditional Sadowsky page. But, some players have expressed interest through the years. And, to be fair, a lightweight 6’er could be interesting for some players.

It is indeed interesting to watch the developing relations between the two shops.

I’m not so much interested in the MM/J electronics per se; but, the 18mm taper on the 5 string neck is of definite interest. Roger has for years eschewed the 18mm neck taper for 5’ers, due to cost for tooling; which makes sense. But, now he actually has access to that tooling. So, my curiosity would be whether hybrids, where the instrument is rough cut in the German shop and finished in NYC might be possible? That would certainly create options I could be interested in. To be specific, an 18mm 5 string taper on a 24 fret single cut would be definite cause for unloading several 5’s in my possession.

One other thing: along the lines of the options described above, I have investigated the German website, but was not able to find any access there to the German Custom Shop. Which does seem just a bit curious.
