Yep, looking forward to upgrading the tuners on my soon to be delivered 3K Metroline Even the Japan Metroexpresses had Hipshots. I would hope that something gets done about this.

I have just ordered Hipshot USA ultralights for my Warwick 22 ltd edition metroline. Hadn't played my USA Sadowsky for a few weeks and the difference between the tuners was huge, so much more accuracy on the Hipshots. Interestingly, my first Warwick metroline in 2020, a PJ didn't seem to have the same tuner problems....quality control issue?

The Warwick tuners actually got one thing going for them which is better than the USA Hipshots: The key's edges are less sharp than the Hipshot tuners. Everything else is superior tho.

A Super J in bridge position gives you the option of 60s position, 70s position or both combined!

Great bass, but it’s just sitting doing nothing.

FYI, ordered the 18mm 5 string bridge from Warwick, ETA was 7 weeks, but ordered it last week and supposed to be here Friday. Currently in Germany, so we will see how realistic that is to make it to the west coast. Will take before and after pictures.

Thanks for this...I had been waiting for them to show in stock, but went ahead and ordered.

So did I. Said it was 13 weeks out when I bought it so was not expecting it so soon.

Hopefully I’ll get some time this weekend to install and report back.

Attempted to install the 18mm Warwick bridge on my 2020 JJ Metroline and did NOT fit. Not all of the holes lined up perfectly. The 2 top ones are about a cm forward. I’m not about to drill holes, so put the old one back on. Pics below.

And now to find a luthier to install it for me. Anyone know of one in the PDX area?

Something about the singlecut just hits

Roger Sadowsky said in an interview with Nicolas Wilfer (December 2022; they begin to talk about the Singlecut at 4:06) that he can can hear a difference thanks to the extended contact neck/ body ( „little more even and fuller sounding“).
They even mentioned the possibility of making six string basses. Let‘s see

I would consider not using the top screws. The way it looks on the photos, the top holes may be exposed if you or a future owner wants to put the 19 mm bridge back on down the road. IMO the bottom screws will hold down the bridge just fine, they certainly do on other basses.
