Already had to break a saving account to afford my japanese metroline!
But no regrets, it's a killer bass and I got it for a steal price!
Would have loved to get one of these rare Marcus style but it's not for me.
Anyway... it lacks one string !!!

Here is another nice Metroline Modern demo.
Plunked down my deposit shortly after it was announced. I currently own 2 Metros and love them (and have owned 3 or 4 prior). But I've always wanted to do a custom build when I could afford it. The Tully model checks a LOT of the boxes for me! (although I've never really been a fan of black basses.) Hoping my situation doesn't change dramatically during the 10-month build time!
I own a German Sadowsky Will Lee RW4 and really like it but it will be up for sale when my new NYC arrives in a month or so.

Good question. I'll talk to Roger about that.
I have owned several Sadowsky's and re-solder the pan pot the (IMHO) correct way...(no disrespect to ROGER, I love the guy!).
But I have played bass for 50 years and I know what I like and expect from my basses. I know this is an old thread, but for some reason, it popped up in my feed.

A lot of the NYC Customs have screw terminals on the pan pot, making this even easier if that’s what you want you want to do.

The one NYC I owned, I bought from Tully, it was an earlier model....so I had to use my soldering skills to change the pan control.
All the rest of my Sadowsky's were MIJ Metros... but required soldering skills.

I recently took possession of a fantastic-sounding NYC fretless 5-string bass. I find that the quirky pan pot orientation just adds to my enjoyment of playing it.
Bass Bonedo makes everything sound fabulous, but I think bass would for me too.
