I really want a second Metro Express. My "V2" is so awesome, I like it more than my Stingray and Modulus at the moment
If it weren´t for that ultra ugly Logo on the Headstock...
VTC Plate, P Bass pickup cover, and NEW shorter bridge screws. This this coming along beautifully. Took this to the local Jam last night. Sounded great. Played like a dream. I think the pickup cover provides an air of …class. Who’s with me?

Hopefully this is ok here, but anyone have a line on a chrome 19mm NYC bridge?
I recently purchased a used WL5 (with P2 pickup profile). Unbeknownst to me, a previous owner had swapped the bridge out to an 18mm version.
I love everything about this bass except for the tonal profile of the pickups. I wanted to try something new and purchased a 19mm Nordstrand Poly Vox set, only to find out that the pole pieces didn’t line up. (Unlike most pickups, it’s pretty important that they line up with the Poly Vox).
Once I discovered the bridge was 18mm, I reached out to Roger to purchase a 19mm replacement, but after the initial conversation, he’s gone radio silent. It’s a bit odd considering past excellent communication. Warwick seems to currently be out of stock for the Customer/Masterbuilt bridges.
Before anyone asks, yes they do have an 18mm version of the Poly Vox pickups, but I would take a significant hit returning the opened package.
If anyone has a excellent+ condition chrome 19mm NYC bridge for sale please lmk.

I bought mine (19mm bridge) from Warwick online shop, it stated available in 8 weeks, but i got it after one week.
Warwick USA storefront or Warwick Germany? These two parts have different SKUs, and I believe the the USA storefront may only carry the Metro bridge. There's a pretty substantial price difference.

Correct, need the 5-string/19mm version. This is the current 18mm bridge.

Would you consider an alternate? Say a Hipshot A style? It’s 4oz lighter than the Sadowsky, and comes in lotsa spacing options. And the spacing is adjustable too.
Looks pretty sweet too. (And it’s less expensive, if that important to ya.)
I love Hipshot A style bridges and have them on some of my other basses, but it's a completely different mounting pattern.
I did get a hold of the shop and they are shipping me some replacements. Also, for posterity, they recommend a #1 Phillips screwdriver for these, and apparently if you've never paid much attention to screwdriver sizes you might only have #2s.

Well yea. There’s that. But following an existing screw hole pattern severely limits your options to almost none with a Sadowsky. I know of no manufacturers that offers a Sadowsky hole templated bridge.
My Metro Express also came with a 18mm bridge. My previous, first batch ME came with the 19mm. Dunno why they did such change. But was a bummer to me.
Then I managed to get a basically new condition bridge from another Metro Express, but with the desired 19mm spacing. No need to drill any holes, just swap them and call it a day.

After listening, I think this bass sounds best in passive mode and the Sadowsky preamp really is not delivering the tone associated with the Stingray. The active tone here is maybe like the single H MTD imports.
I'm betting that's because his active examples have bass and sometimes also treble boosted... heck, he DIMED the bass in at least one example. This "issue" with that is it results in a scooped sound with relatively subdued mids. Can't do that in passive mode. I'd be willing to bet if he did a straight active/passive comparison with no or at least more modest EQ boost, they'd be a lot more similar, just with a bit more overall gain and a bit more high end on the active sound.
That said, I bet these basses would be good candidates for the WL preamp too.
