Has it been 7 months already? I forgot I even ordered this thing

What I asked for:

Vintage 5 Fretless
Alder
Ebony
Fat Stacks
Black, Mint guard, matching headstock
as close to 8 lbs as possible.

What's coming Wednesday:

I think it looks just awesome - even better than I'd hoped for.
Can't wait to play it... I have a gut feeling it's not going to suck

Joeykun, what's the (organ-like) pedalboard for?

That is a Roland PK-5 Midi Pedal. I trigger a rackmount synth (top rack) with them.
I play keys with my feet while playing the bass. Ala Geddy Lee!

My spalted Modern arrived last week. I am utterly shocked at how good this thing is. I expected to not really like the Ash/Ebony combo with the Modern pickup spacing but I'm actually completely blown away by how good it is.

The neck is absolutely perfect. It is completely straight with just the slightest hint of relief - yet it plays buzz free. I real champ!

The photo is a little hot and burns some of the figure out of the top. It has this rich flaming across the spalt that is just beautiful. I'll take some better photos this week.

That is absolutely gorgeous. Spalted maple is my #1 favorite top.
