Club Sadowsky!!!

This thread and these basses (having played a few) are going to be the ruin of me - special thanks to CJ

Ok ... time for me to enter the club (I should have joined 5 years ago with my NYC JJ ... anyway) because this puppy showed at my door:

I have some problems now with my camera so this is the pic Kevin sent when the bass was ready.
The bass was shipped on monday afternoon and arrived last friday morning .... never experienced something faster. It took 3 days from Brooklyn to Italy.. wow!
The bass is stunning. It's entirely finished in nitro with a spray job that I can't describe in other words than superlative.
It's incredibly resonant but don't get me wrong ... it's not the old debate about nitro vs poly as my gone NYC J (poly finished) wasn't less resonant at all. In other words is resonant like any other Sadowsky.
I choose to have it finished in nitro just because I had this vintage bug and the desire to have a bass that will age nicely showing the playing wear.
Yesterday I took it to a rehearsal and ... wow, just wow! Now let me spend some days with it and I'll come back with a full review and some pics.
Number, please!

If anyone is around NYC this saturday, I will be playing Sadowsky basses @ Sullivan Hall starting 9:30pm.

The band playing after us should be interesting as well, Feat. Avi Bortnick (John Scofield), Jesse Murphy (John Scofield,Brazilian Girls) Aaron Johnston (Brazilian Girls), Shawn Pelton (SNL, Sheryl Crow) & Brian Charette.

If anyone want to go, let me know and I will put on the guest list.

Man, I wish I could make it. I was lucky enough to see Avi back in the day in Gainesville with a couple local bands.

Have fun dude!
