Club Sadowsky!!!

I stopped in the shop earlier this week to finalize the specs on an upcoming bass. Roger was great - I had my wife and, not one, not two, but three kids with me! He was great and the boys actually enjoyed it.

Roger thanks again for letting us all stop in. BTW - My wife said the following to me after we left:

"I didn't know if I should say anything, but that place is sooo much nicer than the Fodera shop!"

I thought you would appreciate that story. ;)

She loves Vinnie and Joey, but absolutely hates when I've made her stop in with me.

I really loving my Sadowsky and hear you guy bragging about how tight you B string really. I usually tune my bass down a whole step on every string. But this is a 34 scale. Well I went on line order the Blue Label Sadowsky Strings. When they arrived I took a pack slapped a set on and tune the B string down to A. The string is still tight no flab at all :eyebrow:! THIS BASS IS CRAZY!!!! No difference at all and this is a Metro. I am saving for NYC after this.If I had any doubts they are all gone. I am completely sold on SADOWSKY. ROGER SADOWSKY IS MY HERO!

I was looking at getting a new Oly White Ash/Maple MV5 then saw this ad this morning. Needless to say I responded in about 2 seconds and should have the bass in a week or so. Can't wait!

I'm thinking about just going ahead and purchasing the VTC before the bass gets here. Has anyone retrofitted one themselves, and is it relatively easy?

I was thinking about making a trade for that same bass - looks like a killer bass, and the seller is a good guy. I emailed Roger about that very thing and he said I could (if desired) have the seller ship it there and they would do the VTC install and then ship it on to you - total $150 plus the extra shipping. That costs more, obviously, but I've done it in the past and it was nice for me to have it looked over by the shop guys. I've not done the install myself, though, so can't speak to that.

And the best part is THE TONE.

I took her to her first rehearsal and my band mates loved the tone (me too :bassist:).

I can't wait to gig her next Friday and Saturday.

You can get any tone: from Motown to classic rock. By the way, I already put some broken in Sadowsky flats on it and I didn't need to change a thing on the killer setup that Rob had done with Blue nickels.
