Club Sadowsky!!!

just wunderin' who keeps track of the Sadowsky club #'s.

I played the RV5PJ at church yesterday. It was very present in the mix, I had my 7 lb. Genz Benz ShuttleMAX 6.0 plugged into a big ol' 80 lb. Peavey BVX 115BW cab (a bit of yin and yang I guess). Monstrous lows and nice smooth highs. I could hear everything that was going on.

you got a nice number: #200 welcome and very nice bass. :)

I am super stoked!!!! My ash/maple UV5 will be here tomorrow and its my day off. I ordered a set of Nordstrand NJ5's single coils to drop in there. Ive also got a set of light blue labels on the way. Its going to KILL!!!!!!!!!

PS. Where can I find a 5 string Marcus Miller Pickups cover.... all I can find is 4 string, Ive called Sadowsky, Valenti, And Nordy.... And done tons of google searching.

Hey all, my nyc Vintage 5 has a slick-feeling neck (nitro I guess?). I tried a Sadowsky at the Bass Exchange that had a thinner, more matte finish on the neck, almost felt like wood to my hand.

I really liked the feel of that satin/matte neck. Can I just use 000 steel wool on my neck to thin the finish and get that feel?

All our necks start off as matte. Your hand rubs out the matte nitro and turns it glossy. You are welcome to use steel wool but you will accelerate the time it will take to wear through the finish----though I get the sense you will be happy with the feel when that occurs.
