Some people say a lot of things. It doesn't mean that they are right, though. ;)






Seriously, though, my point is that Sadowsky's just sound great, period, and they are amazingly consistent in this regard. So, if you have a rig that you are happy with, then in all likelihood, a Sadowsky through that rig should be quite satisfying.

But, all the really cool guys know that the only real choice is a Sadowsky bass through a Sadowsky rig. :cool:

BS set aside, I simply must agree. I hope I can find the right deal on a Sadowsky PJ5 someday, but in the mean time, my 24F just sounds damn good thru anything I plug it into. Believe that. :)

Again we disagree... those Gucci bags have way to much upper mids for the Sadowsky, and are soft in the lows... (I dig the gold hardware though), and the Yugo tends to rattle too much on the low notes. +1 to everything else though.

I can appreciate that they will always sound different, although I guess with the VTC and single coils (be it Sads or Nords) they are going to sound close to that "classic" jazz pass sound - but I would a bit part of the "feel" of the ultra vintage bass would also be the weight that 60's and 70's Fenders had as well as the size. Having that "hefty chuck o'wood" in your hands is, IMO, part of the feel of a vintage bass as opposed to the modern more lighter "super jazz". That's why I was surpised to hear that the ultra vintage series are chambered. FWIW.

what new product would we like to see coming out of the Sadowsky shop? (A 5 string Hybrid is a fact, so that doesn't count)
I'd love to see an small amp following the same design philosophy than the Portabag: "It Takes A New Yorker To Design A Great small Amp". I am sure Roger’s idea of great, portable tone would be a winner (Roger, can you hear me?).

I think I remember reading somewhere that they do not chamber the ash bodied Sadowsky's, just the alder. Am I wrong?
