Oh yeah. I think this sorta' "re-completes" my Sadowsky line-up, and it's gonna' be a lot more of what I'll play more than what I had before. Jeez, there must be a song in that...You are outta control, Vic!
But in a good way.![]()
Nope. One Metro, two NYC's.Vic don't you have two Metro VJ5's now... both ash maple right...?
Nope. One Metro, two NYC's.
I have an NYC JJ5 solid body natural ash/maple with SC's (#4098), an NYC JJ5 chambered body burst/quilt ash/maple with HC's (#5249), and one Metro PJ5, burst ash/maple with an HC J.
These (except the Metro has a tort guard on it now):

It's usually not as hard as you might think. I'm usually in a fairly definitive mood for one thing vs another, plus, I usually bring at least two basses to each gig.How do you pic a bass to take to a gig with that wonderful arsenal you have my head would be spinning???
That is way I sold all my other basses and just kept these two:

I got a rather flashy red tort guard made for that bass!
As I am always wearing black on stage, that is the only way I get noticed at all.![]()
I'll post pictures soon.
Yes, but they're VERY particular about the pickguard fit on NYC's and typically require you send yours in so they can duplicate the original precisely.I want to get a few pick guards made for my NYC PJ do you get them from Sadowsky?
played my ash/maple UV70 5 string yesterday for the first time in a band setting, and my goodness it sounded so good. best bass tone i have ever gotten from any instrument, ever.

When you think you're done with your arsenal it just takes a quick run through these Club Sadowsky threads to fall into the GAS Hell once again ... Sad is that man with nothing left to desire ...

I'd be so done with a pair like that.....

+1 That pairing makes so much sense... a nice, aggressive ash/maple JJ, and a nice, fat alder/RW PJ. That would cover all the bases (pardon the pun!). Nice!
