Not sure what you mean Chef, but over the past year, the mean used sale price for a M5-24 is $1680 shipped, the range was $1600-$2000 shipped, while the median for 10 basses sold here on TB was $1730 shipped.

Sounds like $1600-$1700 shipped is a fair price.

Of course, it doesn't really matter, because the dude can sell the bass for whatever he wants, as long as someone will buy it!

I am probably just bitter because i don't have any desire to spend $500 more on a bass than i need to :/

Anyways, looks like i answered my own question.

Did you have to send your bass to Brooklyn, or just get a Metro Vingtage pg?

Here's a lousy photo but you get the idea. I had a local shop (Gravity Strings) custom cut this one for me. My MS5 also came with a Sadowsky clear guard when I bought it so I used the existing 4 holes for the tort.

They don't sell transparent Metro guards at the Sadowsky shop.

After repeated good experience, I would like to suggest Jeannie's Pickguards

Just got a new tort pick guard from Jeannie's for my PJ.

I have to confess that I like Jeannie's much better as it is more reddish as opposed to the brownish Sadowsky tort:

Joinercape couldnt have said it better, I have lost a good amount of interest in my Fender since ive had the sadowsky. I guess i wont sell the fender for sentimental reasons if not she would be a gonner.

Thanks! The tone of this thing is insanely good, I'm especially surprised by how confident and full it sounds in passive mode.
As far as I know, this was the only '59 burst Sadowsky PJ currently available anywhere in the UK, I still can't quite believe I'm lucky enough to own one

I greatly prefer the more subtle color on Roger's tort (is there a joke somewhere?)

Do you guys know if they make annodized guards? I might take all the hassle for a gold annodized guard for my PJ.
