Club Sadowsky!!!

Yesterday Evening was the first Rehersal with the Band, where I used my new Buddy. I guess that was one of the most impressing Experiences in my "Bass Life" to me and also to the Band.

This beautiful Buddy cuts through the Mix, sounds fat, punchy, warm with a sparkeling Top End, well defined. Exactly the Way I want. Just like sweet, warm, and fat Chocolate is coming out of my 2x12" Cab when I play this Bass

Seems that I'm in Love and convinced. :hyper:

No. It's Condensation from going from the A/C to the world's largest steam room known as the Midwest. I was out there for 5 minutes and was soaked.
Oh, I KNOW what you mean!! I've been trying to do some staining this afternoon in the garage, and I'm just standing there with the sweat pouring off me. No air moving, humid, hot, ugh. Raining now. Maybe it'll cool off some. Ick.

As I prepare for my August trip to NYC (and a visit to Sadowsky), I have been thinking about a 2nd Sadowsky strung with flats. I'm curious for the Sad owners on here that have or are using flats, which models you think sound best with them. PJ, singles, hc's, etc. My current Sad has the singles.

Man, you guys could not live in New Orleans!!!!:p I can't wait to go to Dallas next weekend and get some dry air even if it is 100 degrees!

After so much talking about strings around here lately I swaped the flats on my PJ for s set of nickels and headed for a reheasal...it sounded great, but as soon as I got home I put the flats back...this is the second time in a year that I do this, never again!

Flats also sound great on my J with singles, but I keep Blue nickels on for a different flavor

That's my excuse for having two. ;) Strung with flats is not exactly the classic Sadowsky tone but it sure doesn't suck. Mypreference for flats is with JJ single coils, alder body and rosewood board. I'm not a fan of Roger's preamp with P pickups.
