Maybe, if there are pictures of miss '88 :hiding::hiding:

I've posted it before....but for you one more time:

The neck is perfect! Well worn in. The body though has its share of dents and dings....or mojo as I put it.

:hyper: The curse is lifted! The curse is lifted!!! :hyper:

Does this make me the enchanter or the enchanted?

:p Well Gilles, I didn't know that you had sourced some Nordies for the M5-24, but I bet it's a very different beast now :).

Sooooooooooooooooo, glad that you're gonna keep it and get some use out if it ;).

Yes, it is more aggressive in the upper mids/ highs.
I very briefly described it here: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showpost.php?p=5777223&postcount=509

I am really glad I gave it another chance :)
Thanks again Andy for that great bass :)

Hey,
Here are some pics of my 24F5 with EMGs. I'm setting up to swap for a set of Nordstrand Big Singles. I like the tone of the EMGs but I'm a big Nordstrand fan because of the Big Splits in my VJ5. I'm dying to give them a try just to see. I also ordered a VTC from Roger to install with the Big Singles. I'm hoping it's gonna kill through my Eden rig. I'll post my opinions for anyone that's interested.

Concerning mids on my NYC 24-fret 5-string with soapbars: I'd felt in the past that I wanted to hear a little more fatness on the A, D and G strings. Then I changed from my decades-old (bizarre, banjo-ish clawlike) anchored thumb right-hand position to a more conventionally angled floating thumb position, and I no longer have those fatness issues: I now love the fingerstyle sound of the Modern everywhere on the neck in all directions. I'm still counting on the J-style bass I've got ordered to give me the slap sound I'm looking for -- in general I've become a complete J convert in the last year after a lifetime of Ps and Steinbergers -- but I was blaming the Modern for what turned out to be in my fingers.

Touching story, eh? Now would you like to see pictures of my vacation?

-Steve

One year with my sadowsky, and I'm still extremely happy. It has surpassed my Ken Smith and is now my go-to bass ever since I switch to the Sadowsky blue stainless strings. Also, is it just me, or is the finish like bullet proof?

Here is a pic reminder:

There is only one thing that would make that Sadowsky more perfect. .....

..... If it was MINE! Wow Sean! That tigers eye top takes my breath away! Did you ever try the Sadowsky Blue Nickels and compare them to the Stainless Blues? Just curious what sonic differences you might hear? Anyone for that matter?

Sean, that bass is ridiculous. Stop posting it, or I might be forced to do something financially irresponsible, and it'd be YOUR fault! At least, that's what I'd tell my wife, anyway. We might even have a case for harassment here. ;) :D
