Actually no, I haven't tried the nickles yet. I have very acidic sweat, and I kill strings like crazy. It just so happens that I can enjoy months on a single set of these blue label steals. I've been so happy, I haven't considered trying those. The steals mellow out just too my liking. Though, $30 is a small investment so I'll give it a go.

Believe it or not, that maple top is standard. I didn't pay for a more expensive top.

heheheh. I know people think it is ridiculous, but to me the bass keeps getting better the more I play it. Maybe I am just learning how to play this specific bass better, buy who knows. It's definitely a keeper. Construction is top notch, not a flaw anywhere. I'm also rockin the singles, so I am very glad I made that choice.

Hey Vic, atleast you are out of school and have a steady job. I'm paying 30,000 a year for college and how the heck am I going to afford one of these????

I've had a good look through the last 10 pages of this thread, but I couldn't see any mention of this bass, but please forgive me if it's been covered already :hmm:.

The new Sadowsky 24F 4 string Jazz :hyper: ...

Looks fantastic, don't you think :)?

I don't know how much I'd use those extra 3 frets if I had them, but I really like the way that the sleek top and bottom horns compliment the angle of the rear/bottom of the bass, to create that "forward-leaning" look. A very dynamic appearance - just begging to be played :smug:.

Don't know why Roger didn't come up with this option sooner :p, but I'm sure glad that it's here now. Nice one Roger ;)!

ugh, to me that looks like a 90's fender boner jazz bass. didnt need another one of those:D
