What a bummer!!
I was so pumped to have finally got a Sadowsky. I posted last week when I got my MV5... Well today it got stolen!! :S I`m so %@&$ pissed off! It would have been the first time I try it with my band. We have an office band and when I get to work at 9am I put my bass with all the other music gear. After 5pm we all get together and jam all night....but not tonight...my bass was gone! Somebody had a lot of balls to come in our office which is all open concept and leave with my bass while there is people all around... I can't believe he got away with it without ever being seen from on of our staff...(like 10 guys working on computers right there!)
Hopefully the guy is stupid and brings it to a pawn shop. Not many Sadowskys here in Ottawa so it should be pretty easy to spot...but I may never see it again... :S

Its a 2008 MV5 in 59'Sunburst with maple fingerboard. Serial number is M2486. It was in a Fender hardshell case with the red lining inside.

Good idea I will do that. I contacted the main used instruments shop in Ottawa already to give them the info. Tomorrow I will call every single pawn shop in town.
I called the cops...they gave me a report number..lol..thats it. That should help me find my bass..
That's brutal! Be sure to stop into the local shops and leave some pics and serial number behind. There aren't too Sads in Ottawa...

Funny thing is he also took my Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0, well I though. I had it in a plastic bag and he was on his way out with it. He then spotted a Nintendo Wii, took my Genz Benz out of the bag and left it on the floor in a corner and used the bag to steal the Wii...lol Not a smart cookie.
Man, I hope you get your bass back soon and that this A-hole gets nabbed!! Positive vibes. Not sure how I help from Chicago, but I'll keep an eye on the usual 'net spots for you.
If that is really what happened then chances are he doesn't realize what he has (bass). This means he'll be LESS careful in disposing of it & increase your chance of getting it back.

Lupien -- we were broken into years ago when I lived in LA and an amp and other stuff was stolen. Hated to lose it. But worse than even losing our things was just the frustration of feeling sort of violated. I'm sorry for you man.

Nice bass and looks exactly as my MV5, I feel your pain!
Since a couple of Sadowsky fans have PM'd me about this clip, what the heck. Yet another of my amp and cab comparison clips using the wonderful Orange Bomber (NYC non-routed ash/maple Vintage with Sadowsky single coils and well broken in Sadowsky Blue Label steels).
Just FYI if anyone is interested in hearing that spec. The recordings of all these rigs are made at 'gig level' loudness with the recorder well out in the room, so pretty accurate as to what the bass and rig sound like IMO.
As usual, blend centered, and just a slight (10%) bass boost, which is pretty much my standard use of the Sadowsky pre. You can really hear the 'more meat and less zing' of the singles versus the HC's that some of us talk about on the thread. Also, while the cabs have a bit to do with it, listen to that amazing sounding Sadowsky B string... so much for the myth of needing a 35" scale for a full, round, tight, articulate B string tone.
