Hey Guys, Its been a while since I've been on TB. I hope everyone is good.

I need to sell a bass but I can't decide which one. Give me your opinion please.

Looking at it a different way, that whole collection is a bit redundant. I would decide on the neck profile I like. If it is the narrower WL, pick the one you like best and sell the other two. If you prefer the more standard profile, sell both WL's.

Should be a very easy decision for a player. For a collector, I guess more difficult.

The last one, either put a black pickguard on it or sell it! It's the coolest wood, but it looks kind of confused with that tort guard. There is so much going on with the wood on the body that a busy pickguard just doesn't work. Tough call over all though, I assume they all play and sound great? I know, dumb question

Clear or black. I think black is a great color because it will make the lighter/brighter streaks really pop off a black background. I like black on a sunburst look, that one is much wilder though! It's all about contrast and the big picture of the interaction of the 2 colors together.

Second, I am a player and not a collector. If I was a collector, I would pick something that gain in value. And I'm still wondering how is that suppose to make sense since I like them equally. I think we all know how consistent Roger's basses are.

As far as neck profile. I like the Will Lee profile a little better but hey! I own a couple of old Fender P and I love them too (but I think Its the tone more then the neck). My point is, If I like the tone of a bass, I will play it regardless of the neck profile.

There lays the conundrum. I love them all too much and they pretty much get equal playing time. Therefor my request for help deciding.

It's definitely the best problem I've ever had.

Hey Cripula. Youve already have two of my "castoffs" so you wont be getting another. I already have a PJ, mint guard, ash/maple, 8.5lbs and you cant have that, either!! LOL.

Yep, it's a great one - one of my absolute favourite basses. Problem is I love it so much I get to wondering what an ash/maple version would be like... no good can come from this

I totally hear you there. I would have a pretty easy time selling my alder/RW J bass, since even though I dig it, it really isn't 'my tone'. However, I would have a hard time choosing between my ash/maple Alleva-Coppolo and my Ash/maple Sadowsky. Both are at least somewhat similar, but both have differences that I like. So, +1 on your conundrum.

Selling one should be pretty easy. I agree, selling two might be tough

That one, of all of yours that I've seen, should be off limits for sale. We all know how time changes taste preferences & someday that spec may come around the dial to the 12 O'Clock position again. It's in a class of it's own. It's not like you're short on basses bro, so think about this one REAL good.

I just drooled all over my MAC......LOL here is a dumb question for the SADOWSKY lovers, once you own and play a five do you end up not playing your fours anymore? Was wondering as they are all expensive and would hate to think that the fours sit around once fivers are around. Just a thought, i would like to get a consensus on this, thanks.

Just got back from a rehearsal/walkthrough for a gig I am doing this coming weekend. The show is a big benefit deal and the guy that fronts it is a kind of a jazzed up James Taylor for lack of a better descriptor. It's about 70/30 EBG/DB.

I'm playing mostly the modern and the PJ on a couple of blues tunes. I'm altogether jacked about both. But, here's the current rub:

The supplied backline is GB shuttle 6.0 and a GB210. I was not digging it. I very much prefer my F1.

I think for the sake of ease and peace among all the parties (this rig was supplied by a sponsor) I should use it. Any thoughts on getting the best "Sadowsky" sound out of it?

If all else fails, I could probably slip in the F1 easily enough and run it through that GB cab.

Here's the lowdown on those 3 basses,

The Orange WL is Ash/Braz Singles. Very warm sounding. More vintage tone.

The Vintage 4 is Ash/Mad Hum Can. More modern tone. Slap heaven.

The WL tiger is Ash/Mad Singles. Super punchy and somewhat more modern sounding then the other WL but not as much as the Vintage 4.

Now these differences are subtle since they have a similar wood combination.

the reason I want to sell is exactly that. Too much of the same and not enough of other tones.

I have an ash/maple coming in about a month. So my goal is to sell at least one of those Ash/RW and get a Alder/Braz RW.

Then I will have the best of both world having a JJ Ash/Maple, a JJ Alder/Braz, a JJ Ash/RW, a P-bass Alder/maple, and a P-bass Alder/RW

I think I'm leaning on letting go of the Tiger WL. It is in brand new condition. I never even took the protective films of the bass. Therefor getting a better price.

I agree with you on the Tiger WL... If I was in your position and had to let 1 go it would be the Tiger. On the flip side you probably are going to make someone really happy!

I have 5 primary gigging basses anymore, and they're all 5'ers.

I have 12 or 15 "great basses from my gigging past," all 4-bangers, and while I still take one out once and a while, they don't go out so much no-mo.
