Kevin told me it was doubtful Roger would give a double p project a green light, since he's never seen such a bass during his 6 years at Sadowsky guitars... There we have it then...

I don' t know that you would really end ip with something that unique when it was all said and done. Much of the mojo of the P pickup is how the off-set coils in the neck position lay on the "sweet spots" of the associated strings. So, you end up with a more rounded low end and a bit tighter high end.

While it would generally do the same thing in the bridge position, it would be to a much lesser degree. It might even compromise some of the biting attack you get off the bridge pickup, especially on the E and A.. You certainly couldn't cop the j-bass bridge PU grunt tone well. My PJ is pretty good at it.

As good as the bass response is with the Sadowsky HCs, I don't see the benefit other than to have something unique.

Well, I've decided the Sadowsky website is evil. I thought I had decided on a NYC Will Lee, alder, match headstock and frost gold. I went to the site to look at fingerboards as I debated the different rosewoods for the fingerboard.

2 hours later I was undecided between Frost Gold, Shoreline Gold, Sonic Blue, CA Red, CA orange and Olympic White. Furthermore, maybe a mop blocked rw neck. Also, Will Lee or Vintage with WL neck profile. Good Lord!!!!!!
