I went 600km to Budapest just to try the similar one before I ordered it (same model), after listening all the YT videos i could find :)
Finally when it arrived one year later, it didn't sound the same like one i tried :)

I had a passive VS4, beautifully made bass, but - not a classic P sound to my ears, that was with the Sandberg in house pick ups.
If that is what you are after, it didn’t quite nail it, great sounding bass tho.

Remember you can always change pick ups!

The bass is new, the seller is Thomann and is located in Germany, a sort of Amazon of the musical instruments. I haven't found any reseller here in Italy so that's the reason of my questions.
Due to my limited experience about basses, I think the model I'm looking for will suit my needs, the only complain I have is the 14" fretboard radius which is (very?) different from the current bass I have now (10")

I tell people this all the time. 10 of the exact same basses. Made at the same factory by the same company. With the same strings and pickups. Played by the same person. Can ALL SOUND and FEEL different. So I always suggest if you find one you like, buy that one. Also, so many factors go into "sound" when watching YouTube videos (bass amp, mic quality, pedals/effects, etc.). The best thing to do is buy from a place that has a return policy. Take it home and play it for 5-7 days on your gear, in your space. No salesman pressure, no other people listening, just and your bass getting to know each other. Just my 2 cents :-)

My Sandberg collection reached a new high about a month ago with the addition of a new VM5 Nighthawk.

The Sandberg Black Label pickups are super hot! Loving this beast. My only worry is that I might lose it on a dark stage ;-)

I couldn't really justify the tobacco sunburst VM5 as well so I had to sell it. They are pretty similar although the pickups make quite a difference.
