Hi. No - no other marks or spots, although I appreciate that the edge of a thumb nail can be abrasive. The wear has occurred on the grain, which is presumably the softest part of the wood. It just looks like the pain is really thin, and I worry that this wear will get very worse quickly. I am thinking I should reject it, but its so nice to play.

I had exactly the same on a Warwick Corvette $$ I used to have, finished in 'nirvana black'. Within months I had damaged the finish similar to what I see in yours. It looks great but it's not the most durable of finishes...

I think it just comes with the territory on finishes like that. Like a poster above, I have an old Warwick with over 1k shows on it, and I’ve worn a divot in the finish.

Reclaiming my number :).

VM4 Matte Black from 2017. I've added a Nighthawk pick guard in, I guess, 2018 or 2019 as a birthday gift to myself. Just cleaned the frets, hydrated the fretboard and slammed some DR Strings Hi-Beam on it (I may go back to using DR String Black Beauties because they play similarly but look nicer in the black bass).

Is the easiest thing not just to take the control plate off and look at the bass infront of you?
If you have the preamp to hand then you can work out any adjustments precisely

When I bought my VS4 from CME, I was told that the body and neck were made and finished in Korea.
The hardware and assembly were performed at the factory in Germany. Of course, it says all of this on the back of the neck!
Not sure where the pickups came from.

Are the Factory and Korean necks the same width, shape, and depth?

Some a$$hole swiped my tools, don't even have a screw driver in the house, waiting impatiently for Amazon to show up at my door with new dremel, screwdrivers etc ... etc ...
