Club Sandberg (part 2)

Damn, guys. Seeing your Sandbergs is killing me. I’m still waiting. Been almost a frickin year at this point. August will be ONE year since I placed my order with Chicago Music Exchange. It’s not even a masterpiece. Ah, well. Waited this long what’s another month or two...great pics though . Keep em coming!

any of you guys have the push/pull active/passive function on your basses? if so could you shoot me a pic of the pot/wiring? i have had the bass i posted above for quite a while and have never tried to put it into passive as its not my bag. i was bored the other day and tried to engage/pull the knob up but it wouldn't budge. per sandberg this exact bass does have the active/passive feature but maybe the previous owner swapped out the pots/functionality.

on a side note i have another sandberg that got delivered today just waiting to be unboxed at home :)

It looks something like this (the second pot form the right):

Did I post this one? Can't find it, apologies if you've seen it before...
Sandberg TM5, goldplated, from 2006 or something, a bass I come back to again and again, it is an amazing bass (though a bit heavier than "modern" Sandbergs).

Does anyone know what year serial # 2165 is?

I would love to see it! :hyper: edit: oups it' s goldy! Wow!!!!!!!

About 2006 or so (mine is in the same range).

Are you sure about your year?

Hi folks :)

My " Bullet Special" (see pic in post #1570) has a 23xx number. I recieved it new in summer 2004!

I won' t forget the year, Holger Stonjek showed me his workshop.

Sandberg were building around 300 to 350 basses per year back then.

So a bass in the 21xx can be an early 2004 or a late 2003. :)

glad I could help!
