I find that a bit of an odd statement. Since controls are on an amp and not on a cab, wouldn't it make more sense for it to be the other way around?
Hey it's your preference, but I prefer to move a slider or turn a knob on an amp than buy a new cab every time I want to make an alteration to my sound.
But that's me.
I'm more interested in the inherent tone of my rig; as opposed to coaxing a tone out of it. I want to plug-n-play w/o fiddling w/EQ to get what I want. That's where I'm at with my LMII/Berg rig. When I play my small scale, looper-based gigs, my original HT112 works better. When I play more traditional(supportive) situations, the newer Berg 1x12" works better. Either situation, it generally seems to work best keeping my amp EQ flat.
