actualy i feel black beauties were the best sounding and felling strings ive ever played, the only reason im not using them now on my stage bass is because i cant seem to find them in 50-110

That reminds me... I was at a bluegrass festival over Labor Day and there was this upright strung with flourescent green (I kid you not) strings that were really thick and felt like rubber. They reminded me of a supersize version of what used to go on those little Guild Asbory basses years ago. Never seen anything that weird in my life. They actually didn't sound bad though, and were super easy on my fingers.
