Im trying to learn Truth Be Told by Tal so I have at least one cool solo thing to play on bass.. I dont do much solo stuff, its usually funk, as most know.

But Im trying! And hopefully, after the GTG is over, I will have accumulated around ~$1000, which Im going to blow at the end of summer on some new equipment. Thats if I dont sell my current cab to fuel a 4 ohm. :bassist:

I believe this was the thread.. Im looking for the person who said they were trying to sell a Warwick Thumb. Im almost positive its this thread, but Im not sure. Im working my butt off, and have been saving for either a Sadowsky or Warwick, but I defintiely want to try before I buy.

Plus, the 'rents said if I graduate and get a schollarship, I get the bass of choice, so the Warwick is my main concern as a Sadowsky is too much of an investment as of now.

But if that person is in here, anyone knows who it is, etc, please let me know via PM or this thread!

Edit: Never mind, I found him. Mikebass. Im looking for a 5er though, so that may be outta the question. Anyone have a Warwick 5er with approximately the neck of a Thumb 5er?

Some how my black Gibson Les Paul with a pewter skull pickguard and emg 81/85 as well as my green BC Rich Wrlock NJ with the speedloader system and EMG 81/85 went missing. MikeBass said that there's a good chance he won't be able to make it but if you PM him he may send it down with someone. I think burk48237 is bringing down his Valenti so I can play it.

GC had a neck-through Thumb a few years ago that I was madly in lust with. That was the best feeling neck on a Warwick I've ever seen! That bass felt like it just melted into you as soon as you picked it up.
It was getting pretty shop-worn, though, and they wouldn't budge on the $3300 price at all, so I didn't go for it.

Tis why I will definitely go used..

I might head to GC sometime soon. Worth trying one out there.

I went to GC a few months ago and they had an old Warwick Jazzman on the wall. They had that on the wall for over a year. It was nicked up and the fretboard had all kinds of gunk on it. I plugged it in but it didn't work. the strings were fried on it and the preamp was too. It was going for $3000 but the guy said I could have it as-is for $500. I thought about getting it and fixing it, then trying to turn it around for some money but I passed on it. It may still be there and he may give you the same deal.
