No can do.. tis a secret deal between me and Santa's Elves.

I have a question for ya though.. how come your avatar says 11:11 12/21/2012 AD?

I thought the Mayan date was 10:24 12/12/2012? Or am I missing something?

11:11am is supposedly the beginning of the "new", whatever it may be. I just have it cause it's also my 30th birthday to the minute exactly! :hiding:

Sorry Supertanker...one page behind LOL.

LOL.... you're old.

But seriously, I can't think of a good place off the top of my head to do this. It seems like I should know, but don't. If ya'll don't mind driving down to my neck of the woods, I might be able to get my church to let us in.... but then all the booze and stripper talk would definitely come to a screeching halt!

I wouldn't mine coming to Lancaster if you can get your church to host. August 1 works for me too. Can you find out for sure if your church would be cool with it? If it's at a church Jordasch should not have trouble being able to come but the booze would be out. Perhaps a post GTG trip to an area restaurant or pub would suffice that need?

My 19-year old babysitter asked me a few months ago what turning 30 was like.
I said 30 feels just like 20; which feels just like 18. It just takes a little longer to stand up! :p

Hey, thanks for taking me into consideration. It would have been very easy for you guys to just skip over me, being 16 and all.

I thank you for that.

So, we have a pending date of August 1st at a Lancaster church? Sounds cool to me. I think August 1st works for me as well, as long as there are no surprise gigs that may pop up. I am playing a benefit but I'm not sure what the date is. I doubt it's on the 1st.

I hope you can make, and myself. It would be lots of fun.

Well, considering I'm 29 and have been a member of this church for 24-25 years, I should be able to get the building with no problem....lol. I'll double check the date with my pastor just to make sure it's cool.

We recently built our building so it should be good with outlets and whatnot. We have a soundguy who know what he's doing, and he helped design the electrical side of things.

Sounds like an awesome venue! I really hope I can make it!

What's the name of the church?

Hey man, don't mention it. I remember being 16 and not having a resource like Talkbass... actually I didn't start playing until I was 18, so that point is moot. Anyway, When I started playing, it would've been really cool to have people help me out musically.

I'm trying to be as cool about music as I can be with kids. I remember growing up in the church never being allowed to touch any instruments, as I might break 'em. Now, I try and let any kid that wants to play my bass really go to town and feel comfortable on it, make him or her feel like instruments don't have this weird taboo, and hopefully they'll seek them out when the time comes.
