Matt,
Thanks - glad you'll catch this tour, should be quite something. I appreciate the complement.

Sven, I'm positive we'll be in Europe, but not until '09, I'm afraid. :-(

Visirale,

The rig is looking less and less like I'll be using an amplifier in a traditional sense. But I'm glad you're getting a Titan, you won't regret it for sure.

Best,
JMJ

Interesting. Will you at least have a wall of 810 dummy cabs like a lot of the big acts seem to do? I think at least half of how we perceive tone and volume has to do with the aesthetics of a rig.

Will you guys have anything at all for stage volume? I know jamming out with just in ears can be hard... hopefully you'll be running a sub up there so you can at least "feel" some of your sound.

No dummies. We need you to see our three video screens as clearly as possible, so the gear is very streamlined. I'm running an enormous sub stage right to augment the already good sounding high-end ears.

JMJ

the already good sounding high-end ears.

JMJ

three cheers for good in-ears! :hyper:

that's all I've been using for a while now with my main gig and as long as you've got good ears it's awesome.... and also a good monitor guy :)

the Aviom system is what we're using for in-ears/monitoring

and although your Geddys and Jags are great.... this really does accentuate a headstock nicely:

a little Puscifer goes a long way :bassist:

Because of the extremely elaborate staging and lighting which is more involved than anything NIN has had before (don't ask for details anyone: I can't share), I might even be stepping into the world of no cabinets on stage, and just relying in ears mixed with a subwoofer, which I've done before and actually sounds really rocking...especially when you have NIN style, very expensive, dual-driver top-shelf Westone ears. More to come.

JMJ
Hey JMJ, I'm hitting the Denver/Redrocks show!! Got a question for you that I don't know if you're able to answer but thought I'd ask anyway.

Is the staging there quite different as far as being able to setup a stage/light show as one could in an indoor arena? I know it has, I believe, and open top over the stage. Is that correct and if so, do you know how that will be handled? In other words, will the Redrocks show have the same lighting/staging as the indoor arenas or will that have to be modified because of the setting?

Thanks!!

Man its refreshing to see artists and musicians spending time with their fans these days. Im glad your the new addition to the lineup.

I forced(yes forced) my best friend into going to the show at the Forum. He currently likes Katy Perry and techno, please blow him away =).

And grats on being in NIN. Your stage presence is alot better than Twiggy i must say and im definately looking forward to some kick ass music.

Take care.

Hi All,

Don't know about Red Rocks, that's a tricky one...but their trussing is still pretty high, so we should be able to get at least some of our production in there. As far as South America, I'm not sure what we're able or not able to take down there; that's a bit of a trick I suppose. Freight is more expensive than ever these days.

Best,
JMJ
