Yup! With his huge shows the last 15 years or so people often forget his early solo tours. I first saw him solo in Phoenix in 1980 or so in a club (Dooley’s?). He was superb and we were all so close. He let his quirky sense of humor out in a big way several times. The best was the encore; at the end of the big finish he slipped something into his mouth and then bit down on what was obviously a “fake blood” capsule used in movies and such. The red “blood” oozed down his chin as he leered at us with glee. Huge laughs all around.I saw Steve Hackett in a small club in Chicago on his first solo tour after leaving Genesis. That intimate atmosphere was very different from the Lamb Lies Down tour, but suited his music perfectly. Enjoy the show!
Such a cool and nice bloke!
