If anyone here has ever tried playing a sitar, you know how difficult they are to get a handle on. I am always impressed with Jones’ sitar work.
And the Beatles photo on the previous page is cool because the instrument is a tambura which provides the “bed” of sound for any Indian music performance. Cool trivia: when a master sitar plays in concert, quite often the honor of playing tambura is given to a local sitar player.

It was a big deal(and caused consternation to many)that she should be allowed on that stage in the first place.All white faces in the audience.....Hard to believe that Black people in America could not mix with White people back then!

I haven’t seen Steve Hackett in a while. He always has an amazing band and does equally amazing versions of old Genesis songs. I’ve gotta pay attention to his tour schedule to see when he’ll be in my area.

I saw Steve Hackett in a small club in Chicago on his first solo tour after leaving Genesis. That intimate atmosphere was very different from the Lamb Lies Down tour, but suited his music perfectly. Enjoy the show!
