Dr. Dreary aka Dennis Dunaway with wife Cindy Smith-Dunaway 1970
as the band Alice Cooper's wardrobe / stage wear designer from 1968, Cindy hand-tailored every stitch into what became GLAM, thx to London's Carnaby St. scene who were wild over beautiful outfits the group wore. they loved the eye-popping 1969 Easy Action LP cover jacket, front and back, the fashion statement exploded there and soon took over America in ways AC's look never would have, but they definitely influenced fellow Detroiters Iggy and the Stooges. once seeing the brilliant Are You Experienced? album cover, she knew what career she wanted. the '70s wouldn't have been the same without her craft giving it a look that beat out the common leather fringe / LEVIS and tie-dye crowds.
