Yup....one of the many reasons that Genesis with Peter Gabriel out front was a great band and a fantastic live show.“A flower?!”
Primarily a violinist, he was Canadian, and although he emerged from a prog backround, his stuff was nominally marketed as new wave. Did a lot of warped covers in addition to his own stuff…
I'm not hearing "bitching." Most of us who've mentioned it are simply asking for identification of the musicians/bands in pics we find intriguing. As I posted before, it allows us to look up those musicians/bands so we can explore their music, and it might even result in some of us buying their music. If it's a cool pic and you don't know who it is, just say so. I'm not bitching; it's just a friendly request! This is a picture thread. So all the posts bitching about no names are way more annoying than the thing they are complaining about.
^Well said! All kidding aside, I do agree that we should put names to our pictures. Not all of us come from the same musical space and little education to our brethren is never a bad thing. I personally don’t give a rats (….) but, but Im just trying find the positive in it and this is especially helpful to any newbies out there.
Golden Earring: Rinus Gerritsen, George Kooymans, Barry Hay, Cesar Zuiderwijk. Not sure who is who but that's the lineup.I'm not hearing "bitching." Springsteen tours in the late '70s were always a trifecta: Madison, Milwaukee and Chicago. Ticket prices were such that the blow was way more expensive than the tickets. Those were some dynamite shows!
