First band I was in was Pontius Pilate and the Nail Driving Five. I went to a high school that was a seminary, so this name was frowned upon; we were not allowed to audition for the talent show until we changed our name. We changed it to Youth In Asia...
Don't know if they're still around but "Run For Your Fu#$en life" From San Diego. It was a hardcore band. I'm not that into hardcore, but I always thought that name was awesome.

I always liked the name collective soul. And although I have no way of proving this, nor do I know if the well known band name ever came out of anything I might have said or posted somewhere (I don't personally know any of the band members)... I came up with the name OK GO over 20 years ago. Wanted to use it for The Nerve but I was out voted.
Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Eagles Of Death Metal, Goblin C@ck, Gwar, The Cramps, Jesus Lizard, Nine Inch Nails. All memorable names.
