coolest band names ever.

Cannibal Corpse is pretty sweet, as well as their parody band entitled Cannabis Corpse.

Which is pretty ironic, knowing that Cannibal Corpse does smoke a lot of weed during the writing and touring process, from what I've heard. :ninja:

A friend of mine suggested The Gang Bang Theory as a band name once.

Another friend of mine is in a band called The Immortals, which I appreciate for it's simplicity.

My favorite "band name generator," names: Forced Inspiration, Typical Octopus, and Ancient Future.

And my personal favorite...I saw a TB thread awhile ago where someone suggested the band name Bipolar Barbies, which had me running to find two other remotely talented females so I could use it for a three-piece punk band.

Just finished reading through the list, and didn't see these:

Harmonious Wail (an excellent gypsy band)

Hogsnort Rupert & His Famous Porkestra (group that guitarist John Renbourn belonged to early in his career)

The Austin City Lounge Lizards (country parody band)

Reptile Palace Orchestra (Madison, WI - based world music)

Jethro Tull (named after the inventor of the seed drill http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jethro_Tull_(agriculturist))

Sonic Wallpaper
Mean Snakes
Pluming in the Early 20th Century

These were real bands...God help and forgive me...

All of the other guys are gone, Jeff THomas, Jim Whittle, Ric Rhode, Tim Duffy, and sort of Dave Howe, Allan Kornhauser (Hi, Allan, you are still here, no?), so many more...ha ha ha!
