Findlay is my home town, but I am actually about 12 miles out of town. The mailing code is different, which is a gathering of about 3 houses with a post office in the middle.
PS, the Pilot actually isn't in Findlay either, but rather just outside of Van Buren
My wife comes from a small town in da nort country. We went up there for her best friend's parents 50th wedding anniversary. Seeing her interact with all the people she grew up with and hasn't seen in years made me kind of jealous. I grew up in the city, and I have old friends, but not like that. All of their kids go to the same school they did when they were kids and they all see each other frequently and seem to genuinely like each other.
I've mentioned moving up there, but she has a real aversion to working at the Walmart.
Living in the country I've never had rodent problems... but my friends that try to convince me how great living in the city is do have problems getting their cars broken into, and stolen. oh and they are broke since they feel they have to go out every night. And dont even get me started on the crackheads.... lol
I'd love to move an hour outside of Detroit. Like, down in Saline off old US-12. Or up in Howell, or Dexter MI. Dexter MI is the coolest place to just visit with no schedule or purpose. Quaint, small town, huge beautiful old cemetery, train tracks with a cool old horror-movie bridge, lots of swamps and fields around, and a PERFECT old-style Irish pub. Not a single sign of new-age fancypants technology. Jukebox plays RECORDS, none of them younger than 1980. We used to hit a car cruise there every summer, and they always timed it with a street fair. Unbelievable artistic creations people can come up with out in the country.

I grew up in Ohio country loved it. Move where im at...well near where im at. Lots of crack,crime ,traffic,hoods, decay...great stuff. A kid i really enjoyed back in my youth corrections days just got murdered last week near downtown. Country sounds good right now.
