Covers that are pretty awesome.

I could list a hundred covers that I dig. But I'll start with six.

Until the Ribbon Breaks covering Robert Palmer's "Addicted to Love"

The criminally underrated Failure covering Depeche Modes' "Enjoy the Silence"

Bon Iver doing Bonnie Raitt's "I Can't Make You Love Me"

The Isley Brothers doing Neil Young's "Ohio" into Jimi Hendrix's "Machine Gun"

Toots and the Maytals covering Radiohead's "Let Down"

James Blake covering Feist's "Limit to Your Love"

There are some things here I have never heard - thanks for the education, people!
Here are a couple:
Beth Hart covering Etta James' I'd Rather Go Blind with Joe Bonamassa:

and B. B. King doing Louis Jordan's Let the Good Times Roll - Michael Doster's walking bass really brings it home:

and then there are Robert Johnson's Crossroads by Cream, John Prine's Angel from Montgomery by Bonnie Raitt, Dylan's All Along the Watchtower by Hendrix, etc, etc.

Frank Zappas last tour....I saw opening night and no one knew what to expect....when the 5 pc horn section busted out Jimmy Pages guitar solo it was so epic. All the crazy Beatles covers they did....opening night they Played "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds"....by the end of the tour it was" Lousiana Hooker with Herpes".... Also.....How abouts Zappa's "Ring of Fire" LOL

I enjoy covers that drastically differ from the originals, especially when bands from one genre do a cover from a different genre. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Special mention for Tom Jones - Kiss and Burning Down The House.

Moody, acoustic version of a well-known metal song.

Making Prince sound like Buck Owens.
