Covers that are pretty awesome.

Best cover ever

Yes _ Every Little Thing , I have won SO many bets with this song, NOBODY but NOBODY ever guesses that it is Yes. Not many know that it is a Beatles song either.

I've heard the entire album this is on, and so I'd get it correct if you quizzed me.
Although I may not get it right away with that lengthy intro--I would remember by the time it got to the words, if I didn't during the intro.

I've got a few.

First Brie Larson's cover of "Black Sheep" (The Metrics) from Scott Pilgrim (I'm a fan of that movie). Also am I the only one who thinks Brie/Envy Adams (her character in Scott Pilgrim) looks just like Misa Amane (Death Note) in real life (more so than the live action version of Misa).

Second, Nirvana performing "The Man Who Sold the World" (David Bowie). Kinda obvious.

Almost anything covered by Pellek but especially the theme from MGS3 (also a big Metal Gear fan), "Snake Eater". He's an excellent power metal tenor.

Of course "Hurt" (Nine Inch Nails) by Johnny Cash.

That's enough for now.

Molly Hatchet's abominable excrement infused utter misreading of "Dreams" is as horrid as Nazareth's painfully atrocious and overwrought trashing of "Love Hurts".

But they didn't just make a regurgitated cop of another performance, like whoever redid "Drift Away" or the Neil Diamond song resurrected for "Shrek". Even as badly as Nazareth and Molly Hatchet totally missed the essence of those songs they also DID bring something new to them.
