Bass guitar needed!!! (Gaston County)

Bass guitar needed for a beginner. My wife plays the guitar and I promised her that we would play together by the end of this year. I'm looking for someone to DONATE a bass that I can LEARN on. It doesn't have to be in perfect condition. I just need something to start with. No scams please!!! Only respond if you are serious. I am able to pick it up immediately. Thanks in advance!

No scams and only respond if you're serious. Got it.

I'm glad I'm old and will be dead soon. :(

I see no mention about any financial problems, sounds more like the guy wants to honor a promise he made to his wife but is not willing to spend a dime doing it.

Why should he mention his financial problems? No one else's business.

I don't see anything wrong with the advert. Either someone has something to give or they don't. No harm done.

I loaned out a practice amp and a spare bass guitar to someone who wanted to learn.
However, that person was a friend of mine. I dont know if I'll ever see those things again, but I also dont really care if I do.

I've given half a dozen instruments away and have also been given close to that same amount. Some that I've given away were to strangers or near strangers. Perhaps he has a valid need and can't afford it. I know my brother had to sell his bass and amp when kids came around and couldn't really justify the expense later on down the line, so I picked him up a cheap bass and amp so that he could play. He's just a living room player but he's glad he has it. I also have a friend now that I gave a bass to shortly after I had met her because she was playing on a friend's with terrible action, she and I have become great friends and have been able to bond over bass in the meantime.

Nothing wrong with asking I suppose.

On that note, please give me your car

Sure, but I will require a small deposit on the shipping fee, which has been prepaid, but I have to get it out of hock from my cousin Bernie who assures me that everything will run smooth as soon as the wheels are greased. Email your payment and the outline of your front door key to...

Recently, there was an ad on our local craigslist from a kid asking for used bass strings. He had broken 2 and just wanted to jam. I was going to call him and give him a set of mine, but got busy that weekend.

Just because I'm old doesn't mean I don't remember what it was like to have no money.
