I'm not sure if that skijumper-bassist is any less disturbing than that "man part-bass"..

I just now took a good look at the ski itself...I used to have a pair of those (Hexcel XE's) when I was in school.
This one looks incredibly photoshopped, even to the point where I'd say it was completely made up in Photoshop.
Anybody has a pic of the bass in natural daylight?
Apart from that, the idea isn't too bad...
I still have my collection of the same product take-off stickers from the '70s. ... oh-oh...

Yeah, you are right about the Photoshop. But there is this one guy in Russia who builds guitars from shovels, and they are not Photoshopped..

)My first thought was that there is a very long pin connecting the bridge to some kind of a resonator inside the horn, a bit like violin sound post. But that's just a guess, I really don't know, it could just be a massive folded horn-type bass port without any more trickery. I try to find out more about it, it's on display in Espoo and if I can find some extra time I'll go check it out.
