Can’t be too careful. I pulled back a couple of covers before I hit send because I thought they might be taken the wrong way. Better safe than sorry.

The rightmost panel of this triptych "Garden of Earthly Delights" was used (in monochrome) as the foldout cover of the eponymous "Deep Purple" album.
It's by Hieronymus Bosch ca.1500.
Pieter Bruegel the Elder (who has appeared earlier in this thread) was a Bosch follower.

INDEED! One of my all time favorites. Had never heard of the band until they opened for Yes back in '02. Opened with Blackest Eyes. My jaw almost broke when it hit the floor...
