Crummy new interface on eBay!

If you add the ebay bass page to your browsers favorite places then it is one click regardless of what they have done.

Not any more. I had a search for Jazz basses book-marked. When I use it now, I get all Fender basses even though the breadcrumb search shows 'Jazz'. They don't have Jazz as a category under Fender - Basses at the moment.

You don't get the same potential any longer. I can generically search for 'fender jazz', e.g, but then I would lose hits that someone would have otherwise classified as a J-bass under the Jazz category.

Go check out the new interface. You may have to use the USA site. There is no subcategory for Jazz any longer.

I don't want to draw this thread out unnecessarily. It's just a shame that the granularity of the categories has been taken away, as well as the search capability within a category.

Generally, I hate eBay's latest "improvement", but I get used to them. All my searches saved in Favorites still work.

My biggest problem with ebay are sellers that don't leave feedback until the buyer does. When I pay promptly, I've fufilled my half of the bargain, and I should get feedback then, not after the seller is sure I won't complain.

Paypal fees are not bad if the payments are funded by bank accounts.

A HUGE +1 on the feedback part.. that drives me crazy

I totally agree about the new interface. For those that haven't seen it, my view also defaulted to the old interface when I first visited. There is a link with text along the lines of "Come try out the Playground", or something similar, which will take you to the new interface(there's also an option to revert to the old interface again). The homepage looks the same, but the "Musical Instruments" category is pretty different.

There is also an option to leave feedback, which you may want to do. Since probably E-Bay spent a large amount of money developing the new interface, it's likely that it's not going to go away...but maybe we can help make it less painful to use :(

Erm, maybe im missing what your getting at, but i browsed to Music instruments, then guitars, then bass, then fender, then Jazz. Did a search for CIJ.
