Hey, whenever you're ready to have the next, just let me know. Your F convinced me that a maple-boarded six didn't have to sound brittle in the least on the high end. Everyone could come up to my place as well, although I'm a bit further up the road 
Heres' a pic of a potential board for my 10-string kneebee. I was kinda hoping for some more curl or a crazy piece of tiger maple,so fred's gonna see what else he can dig up...but this piece is kinda cool too.

I really think this board would be perfect for the body.
Imagine a fretboard and pickup cover made from that piece,and a headstock made from left over body blank...GOOD LORD!!

I collected my Sei Flamboyant Offset 7 string www.seibass.com last Friday and we drove the 400 miles home yesterday !!

The spec:
Body core: Walnut
Veneer: Bolivar dyed claret
Facings: Lacewood
Thru-neck: Wenge & maple with carbon fibre reinforcement rods
Fingerboard: Birds-eye maple with violet LED's on side
Headstock also faced front & rear with lacewood
12th fret inlay: Signature laser-etch in mother-of-pearl.
Gold Gotoh and ABM hardware
1 Kent Armstrong custom humbucker
1 volume control, push/pull for LED's
Concealed coil tap button.
Conventional jack with an XLR output by John East.
It sounds as good as it looks !! Real punchy and strong...

So any ways epic win on my part. Monday the 16th i went to NY to visit the Fodera shop. I was looking at a used 1993 AJ6 model that they have on their site. so i get there and i'm check it out, i offer them a bit less than what the origional owner wanted to sell it for. They said thats fine with them and they said they're going to set it up for me while i go about town with some of my friends.
So we go eat, and decide to come back and see what the wait time would be for me to come back and pick up the bass. I get there and Mika, says "I'm glad you're back we have to talk" i say ' ok' the rest of the convo i'm was sworn to secrecy about, but i didnt end up getting the bass i had origional went there for.
But i did get this

Congrats 7string, I know that has been a long wait, but very well worth it. Can't wait to hear samples of it.

its a 34 inch scale, 26 frets walnut body, pao ferao(sp?)/sapwood top, Ash w/purpleheart neck, ebony fingerboard, black hardware, extended low B w/hipshot detuner, ebony fingerramp, ebony pickup covers.
I modeled it after these two basses:
