It looks like one of those colors that would show every teeny blemish and almost require negative air in the booth to ensure that you don't get any tiger striping or fish-eye or any of those other weird little paint flaws.

three stage paint job. basecoat must be absolutely smooth. If it is not perfect sanding and buffing is required. Second stage is two parts mixed using a special gun. it is a chemical reaction that gives a silver chromelike finish. The color tint is mixed with the clear, and shot like a candy

It was a lot of green, but still....who didn't love this car as a Hot Wheels and want to have one of their own to drive?

I did and I am. Red hair (more irish setter/coppery red), glow in the dark white skin, grey eyes, and more than my fair share of freckles. Oh. Yes. No soul.

God, that is sexy. I hate Crapmaros that aren't my old '77. I dig the color.

This is the only photo I have of it. I restored it, souped it up, and sold it off for tax money in '06.

By the way, the vanity plate I had for it said "BAD Z28" :)

paint is a Spectra Chrome color. I have never shot it in green, but I did it in blue on a show bike a couple years ago... It does require a lot of prep

Can you PM me a picture of it if you have it? I was thinking about doing a custom bass for that. There seems to be a bit of demand for my customs amongst friends here. I have 4 orders up when I'm done my Tat2dHeart tribute bass.

I never liked the 70's/80's body style. I liked that old classic squared body - probably because my first was a 68 1/2 Camaro SS.

give me a day or two...
I do have pics, but they would either be on a disc or a thumb drive, and I will have to figure out which one

there is another brand that does not require the special gun (chinese knock off paint), and I think it even comes in rattle cans, if you do not have a paint booth

Take your time. I appreciate it. I can get a similar finish using a chrome base coat with Duplicolor Metalcast. Instead of using the Metalcast base coat, which is just silver metal flake, I can just spray straight chrome and coat it with the Metalcast. It gives it that anodized finish. Such an application is this (not my picture):

Oh, lawdy, lawdy - what have I started?

For starters, you got me started with building customs, which ended up getting demand amongst my friends. So, in a way, you're responsible for me having some non-taxable income. :p One of the orders wants a Kahler bass tremolo. It's gonna be very interesting to see how that one pans out.

You could always bust this one out:

STAY ON TOPIC GUYS!!! LMFAO :D

My disclaimer is that being a chick either with or without a bass, I am part of the topic therefore always on. Makes sense, right? :D

So you're proposing that I do something like this......?

MAY I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE!?

Despite the fact that I started the gearhead discussion, it's now time to move back to our originally scheduled programming, which means that we talk to and about FM, PA and Tat in their various chick, chick with bass, and chick with stiletto bunny-slippers modes. Any deviation from the previously scheduled programming should be strictly controlled to ensure maximum exposure of the chicks, their basses, or their stilettos.

Use a candy instead of the metal cast finish... It will add depth and more shine
remember that paint depth is in the finish, not the paint, but some colors do look "deeper" than others

someone please photoshop a pic of T2H into the side if the honda engine pic, so I am on topic
